Love Island’s Molly-Mae Hague shares secret detail about engagement

Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague has revealed a hidden detail fans might have missed from her recent engagement video.

Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury, who met on the 2019 series of the hit ITV show, confirmed their engagement on July 23.

The couple shared a joint Instagram post with a sweet video that showed Tommy going down on one knee, surrounded by rose petals and flower bouquets.

The couple's daughter Bambi, who they welcomed in January this year, was also present at the proposal.

In an Instagram story shared today (August 2), Molly-Mae reflected on the romantic proposal and revealed a secret detail from the important moment.

"I had to take my shoes off when I was walking down the hill because it was that steep and my legs had turned to jelly," she wrote in the story caption, alongside a clip of her walking bare-foot down the path to where Tommy was waiting to pop the question.

"I nearly fell completely over," she added.

The reality TV star also shared a video reel from the big day on her stories, which was originally posted by Alpas Media who filmed the proposal.

"Crying again," she wrote alongside the reel.

In addition to her Instagram stories, Molly-Mae shared a post that reflected on the previous month and the events that took place.

"July wins. That’s it," read the caption, alongside a crying face emoji.

The post featured 10 photos, including one of the proposal setting and another of her posing in a bikini with her new fiancé on holiday, showing off her engagement ring.

Fellow Love Island co-star Kaz Crossley was one friend to react to the post, commenting: "Love wins congratulations beautiful xxx".
