Love Island star Paige Thorne has shut down rumours that she has rekindled her relationship with fellow islander Jacques O'Neill.

The TV personality set the record straight in a Q&A session with followers on her Instagram Stories on Monday night (June 19).

"Are you and Jacques back on?" asked one fan, adding: "That's the real answer everyone is looking for" alongside a rolling eye emoji and two love heart face emojis.

Whilst Paige didn't give a straight 'yes' or 'no' answer, her response might be seen as a blow for some Love Island fans who previously shipped the season eight couple.

"This kinda question asked a lot," said Paige. "Not too much to say on this because there’s honestly nothing to really say. However, we are on good terms and just want each other to be happy."

Speculation that the two had reunited arose in June after an Instagram exchange on one of Paige's posts. The ex-islander shared three photos of herself sitting at a restaurant table enjoying a spot of "shopping and brunch".

Ex Jacques O'Neill left a comment saying: "Told you you’d look pretty in Ralph Lauren," with a horse emoji. "Should listen to me more often."

Paige's response? Two white love hearts.

O'Neill – who was fellow islander Gemma Owen's ex-boyfriend – hit it off with Paige immediately after entering the villa. However, following his wandering hands at Casa Amor, the two broke up with Jacques leaving the show shortly afterwards.

In a later interview, Paige admitted she did consider leaving with Jacques. However, at the time, the reality star decided to stay on the show and couple up with bombshell and former islander Adam Collard.

Paige and Adam dated briefly after the series, but their split was confirmed in October 2022. Paige admitted to having a "shit time" following the break-up and has remained single since.
