Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri announces new career move

Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri has announced a new career move away from reality TV and modelling with the release of her first book.

The star revealed on Instagram that she was releasing a fiction romance novel next year with author Lizzie Huxley-Jones.

“I’m sooo excited to introduce HITS DIFFERENT — my first ever book,” she wrote. “It's a gorgeous summery romance about Cassie, a deaf dancer who jets off for a hot summer in Ibiza.

"This is a story about finding self-love and falling in love which is really based on my own personal experiences, and Cassie has characteristics of me!”

Tasha added: "It's super special and I can't wait to share it with you all! It's out June 2024."

After sharing her exciting new career move into publishing, Tasha was flooded with support from her former Love Island castmates and friends.

"This is incredible," commented Jess Harding, while Sanam Harrinanan said: “This is amazing, congratulations!”

Indiyah Polack wrote: “Aww love this Tasha,” while boyfriend Andrew Le Page shared his pride writing: “congratulations babe xxx.”

Tasha rose to fame on last year’s Love Island, where she came in fourth place finding love with Andrew.

Despite finishing in fourth, Tasha and Andrew’s love story has continued to blossom outside the villa. They have moved in together and since revealed they’d got a dog before celebrating their one-year anniversary.

Tasha was born deaf and has used a cochlear implant since she was five years old, making her the first deaf contestant to go on the hit reality show.

Tasha refers to her disability as her “superpower” and has been a champion for the deaf community since her appearance on Love Island.

Hits Different will be published in June 2024 and is available to pre-order now.
