Viewers were left stunned after Love Island aired a brutal double dumping, followed by the return of Casa Amor.

Tonight's (June 28) episode took viewers on an emotional rollercoaster. While Grace and Joey's relationship went up in flames, Nicole and Ciaran cemented their feelings by professing their love.

Viewers barely had time to process Grace and Joey calling it quits before Konnor received a text. The Islanders gathered around the fire pit, where the results of the latest public vote were announced.

The newest couples – Jessy and Joey, and Trey and Jess – were exempt from the vote. This left Uma and Wil, Grace and Konnor, and Harriett and Ronnie vulnerable to being dumped.

After receiving the fewest votes, Harriett and Ronnie were immediately dumped from the Island, leaving viewers shocked.

But it wasn't all bad news for fans, as the episode also brought confirmation of Casa Amor on the horizon.

Another eager fan added: "Yessssssssss I could feel Casa creeping up! Buzzing! #loveIsland".

Meanwhile, some viewers were frustrated they wouldn't get to see Ronnie and Harriett at Casa Amor.

"Both of them need to turn up in casa amore and make a comeback, how can you send them home? #loveIsland" one wrote. While another demanded: "BRING HARRIET BACK FOR CASA #loveisland".

Upon leaving the Villa, Harriett shared that she felt "sad to go", adding: "Everyone's entitled to their opinion, so if they think me and Ronnie should have gone, what can you do?"

Ronnie said: "I know that I went into the Villa just being me, so I know I can walk out with my head held high. I wanted to stay a bit longer, but obviously my time was up."

Love Island airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX.
