Love Island's Ekin-Su responds to co-star dating rumours
Love Island star Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has responded to rumours that she’s dating Peter Weber, her co-star from The Traitors US.
The pair appeared together in the second season of the reality show, with the pair making it to the fourth and tenth episodes respectively before their elimination.
Though the duo didn’t make it to the end of the series, fans wondered if there was a potential spark between them, with Ekin-Su commenting on the speculation in an interview with US Weekly.

“We’re very good friends. We have a special friendship [and] he’s a lovely guy,” said the star, who appeared on the eighth series of Love Island. “I met his mom when I was in Los Angeles [and] the whole family to be fair. We stay in touch [and] we speak.”
Ekin-Su also spoke more widely about her role on The Traitors US, sharing that she still maintained contact with some of her co-stars, which included Trishelle Cannatella, Mercedes “MJ” Javid and Phaedra Parks.
“I made the best friends; everyone’s amazing. We’re all friends and I keep in touch with them. Good friendships come out of a really, really good show. I heard they’re filming season 3 [now] and I’m very jealous.”

Rumours of a new relationship for Ekin-Su came after her second break-up with Love Island co-star Davide Sanclimenti in January, with the star saying their relationship was a rollercoaster in a subsequent statement.
“The last 18 months have been a rollercoaster of ups and downs, just like every relationship,” she said. “Davide and I both wanted to make this relationship work as we cared deeply for each other.
“Unfortunately, I have recently made the decision to end our relationship and to go our separate ways. breakups are never easy for any couple, and we hope that our privacy will be respected at this time.”
Davide, who won the eighth series of Love Island with Ekin-Su, subsequently challenged her ex’s statement with his own words, sharing that the decision to split was a “joint decision” after a “beautiful story.”
Love Island airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX.
