Love Island's Kendall Rae Knight welcomes first child and shares sweet name

Former Love Island star Kendall Rae Knight has announced the arrival of her first child with footballer partner Andrew Hughes.

The reality TV star, best known for appearing on the 2018 series of the ITV dating show, shared the happy news with her followers on Instagram, sharing photos of her newborn son alongside his sweet name.

"Cooper Cole Hughes. 04/03/24," read the caption, additionally confirming her son's date of birth.

Kendall shared several photos of her cuddling Cooper in the hospital, with a final photo showing her and Andrew leaving the maternity ward with their new addition in a car seat.

Several former Love Island stars were quick to congratulate Kendall in the post's comments section.

"Congratulations 😍 how gorgeous is Cooper!!!! xxx," wrote season 2 star Zara Holland, with recent Love Island: All Stars contestant Joshua Ritchie also commenting: "Congratulations to you two hope all is well."

Rosie Williams, who appeared on the same season as Kendall, also shared well wishes on the post, writing: "Awe Kendall! Congratulations, beautiful! He’s absolutely perfect. Sending love to your new family."

Former Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan, Celebs Go Dating expert Anna Williamson and I'm a Celebrity winner Vicky Pattison were three others to offer their congratulations too.

Kendall announced her pregnancy back in September last year, posting a photo of her and Andrew with the baby scan on Instagram. Kendall has been dating Preston North End footballer Andrew Hughes for five years.

The reality TV star enjoyed a brief stint in the villa during series four of Love Island, being the first contestant to be dumped from the island after co-star Adam Collard chose to couple up with Rosie Williams instead.

Love Island will return to ITV2 in the summer.
