Love Island stars Tanya Manhenga and Shaq Muhammad have taken a huge step in their relationship by moving in together.

The couple, who featured on the 2023 winter series and placed fourth, announced the big news on Instagram, by sharing a picture of their fingers making a heart while holding the keys.

"WE HAVE A NEW HOME," the caption read. "Guess there's no escaping now. Have to thank God always for this next step in our lives. Looking forward to this next chapter."

The couple received plenty of celebratory messages from fellow Love Island stars in the comments, with Indiyah Polack, Tyrique Hyde, Andrew Le Page and Jessie Wynter all sending their congratulations.

"Aaaaaa little love birds kept that quiet," wrote Casey O'Gorman, adding: "When's the house warming pls?"

"Awhhhh congrats guys, let's goooooo," wrote Dami Hope, while Maxwell Samuda jokingly asked if he could stay on the sofa.

Shaq and Tanya, often nicknamed Shanya by Love Island fans, hit it off on the first day of the show and later made it to the final – but not without their fair share of ups and downs along the way.

After leaving the villa, Shaq opened up on how the couple were portrayed on camera, revealing that he believed Tanya received a "bad edit" by producers.

"I've watched more than she's watched and based on the things that I know and how it was perceived, Tanya’s not like that. She’s not this big bad villain that everyone thinks she is," he told the Daily Star.

"She's honestly the nicest, kindest girl that I've ever met and I wouldn't be with her if that wasn’t the case."
