Love Island's Tom responds to fans claiming Molly and Callum should be together

Love Island: All Stars winner Tom Clare has opened up on his reaction to fans wanting Molly Smith and her ex-boyfriend Callum Jones to rekindle their relationship.

The two exes appeared on the recent Love Island spin-off, six months after calling time on their three-and-a-half year romance.

Tom entered the villa as a bombshell later on in the series and immediately had a connection with Molly, with the two coupling up and going on to win the 2024 series.

In an interview with Made In Chelsea star Sophie Habboo and friend Melissa Tattem on their podcast Wednesdays, the reality TV star admitted it feels "shit" to see fans wanting his new partner to get back with her ex.

"I've come out and I've seen a lot of messages that say Molly and Callum should get back together and it's shit to see, it is shit, but in the villa, there was no sign of it," he said.

"If there had been an inkling, if there was flirting, I would have addressed it but there was nothing at all," he added, confirming that to him there were no signs to suggest the two were considering getting back together.

"I understand it, they want the fairytale and they had been together a long time but at the end of the day it is still shit to see."

Molly previously shut down any chance of a reconciliation with Callum on the show, during a video call with friend Sophie ahead of the final.

Asked if the chapter "is fully closed" with her ex, Molly replied: "Yeah. I think obviously it's nice to see him so happy and I'm obviously happy with Tom.

"I don't think we would ever have got to this point if we didn't come in here."

Molly also relayed this information back to fellow islander Jess Gale at the time, who is currently romantically involved with Callum. "I don't want you to think that there's anything like going on behind... cause there's genuinely not," she said.

Since leaving the show, Molly has also made her feelings towards Tom pretty clear, sharing a loved-up photo of the two on her Instagram. "Start of something new," read the caption, alongside the image of the two sharing a kiss.

Love Island airs on ITV2, ITVX and STV.
