Land Transport Authority chief executive Chew Men Leong has resigned after less than two years in the role, according to a report by The Straits Times on Friday (5 August).

Chew made the announcement to LTA’s staff, saying that he was leaving for “personal career development” in the private sector, the report said.

There is speculation that Chew, who moved from PUB to LTA in October 2014, would join Singapore Technologies, the report said. LTA board member Ngien Hoon Ping will take over the chief executive role, the report added.
