Lucy Hale may soon be returning to her Rosewood roots!

The 34-year-old actress, who starred as student Aria Montgomery on all seven seasons of the original Pretty Little Liars series, just sent fans into a frenzy about the reboot.

On Tuesday, April 9, HBO Max and the television show’s Instagram accounts shared a joint post announcing the release date for the reboot's second season, Pretty Little Liars: Summer School.

“It’s gonna be 🅰️ killer summer,” the caption read, with an oh-so-subtle nod to A, an anonymous character (and their associates) who terrorized the teens throughout the franchise.

#PLLSummerSchool premieres May 9 on Max,” the caption concluded.

Once the post was up, Hale paid a visit to the comment section. “Kinda making me want to go back to school? 😍🔥,” she wrote.

@lucyhale girl… don’t play with my heart like that!” an excited fan wrote in response.

Others mentioned her on-screen romance with teacher Ezra Fitz, played by Ian Harding.

PEOPLE reached out to Hale’s reps but did not immediately hear back.

In addition to Hale, Pretty Little Liars followed Emily Fields (played by Shay Mitchell), Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson), and Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario) as the girls tried to uncover what happened to their best friend, the Queen Bee of Rosewood High School, Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse).

When most residents of the fictional Pennsylvania town thought DiLaurentis was dead, the girls began receiving letters from an unknown individual named A who knew their deepest and darkest secrets — and held them against her friends as leverage.

After debuting in 2010, Pretty Little Liars ended in 2017.

The series finale featured a guest performance from Sydney Sweeney, though several cast members recently realized that the moment had slipped from their memory.

Last month, PLL original cast members Benson, 34, Bellisario, 38, Keegan Allen (who played Toby Cavanaugh) and Torrey DeVitto (who played Melissa Hastings) spoke on a panel at the fan convention Epic Cons Chicago.

The actors were surprised to learn that the Euphoria star, 26, shared screen time with them.

“I’m gonna look this up. This is blowing my mind,” Allen, 34, said after an audience member pointed out the fun fact.

The rest of the cast seemed equally surprised.

After the finale, there were two spinoffs of the show, Ravenswood and Pretty Little Liars: Perfectionists. Both were canceled after one season. Max's Pretty Little Liars reboot has been more successful, securing a second season subtitled Summer School.
