Luke Combs Bring Fans to Tears With His Heartfelt Album Dedication
Luke Combs's brand new surprise album Fathers & Sons officially dropped on Friday, June 14, just in time for Father's Day. The album is a whole new era for the country star, and fans weren't expecting to see this side of Luke.
In the weeks leading up to the album release, Luke took fans on an emotional rollercoaster with heartfelt dedications, song previews, and photos with his two sons, 10-month-old Beau and almost 2-year-old Tex. If you haven't listened to the album yet, be prepared to shed a few tears as you explore Luke's softer side.
A week before the surprise album's release, Combs posted the cover art, featuring a photo of Luke, Beau, Tex, and Luke's father Chester Combs, and the album's complete track list on his Instagram. "Excited to announce my new album Fathers & Sons will be out NEXT Friday, June 14. The full track list is on the second slide, but 'The Man He Sees in Me' is out now! I can’t wait for y’all to hear the full album next week and hope y’all love this project as much as I do," he wrote.
With the countdown to the Fathers & Sons release on, Luke began preparing fans for emotional turmoil. He shared a handwritten letter dedicating the album's first single "The Man He Sees in Me" to his two sons.
"To my boys, First and foremost I will always love you, no matter what. With this song I want you to know that even though I’m not perfect, I try my hardest everyday to be the best version of myself for you both. I’ll make mistakes along the way and some days you’ll be sick of your old man I’m sure but dang we’ll have some fun too. I can’t wait to see what you both turn out to be like and I hope someday down the road I get to watch you and your kids do the same. Love, Dad," the letter reads.
Needless to say, there wasn't a dry eye in the comments section. "🥹🥹🥹🥹," Luke's wife Nicole Combs commented. "Did someone cut an onion? All of a sudden I’m over here CRYING!!! 😭," "You're not gonna let our tears dry up huh Luke? 🥹❤️" and "Ugh I’m just going to cry listening to this whole album, aren’t I? 🙃," fans reacted. "'To my boys' 😭😭😭😭😭😭" and "this is the definition of a good dad that cares for his sons," others chimed in.
