Lupita Nyong’o Shimmers in Sequined Off-the-shoulder Prada Jumpsuit and Satin Miniskirt at ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’ Premiere
Lupita Nyong’o brought sparkle to the “A Quiet Place: Day One” premiere in New York City on Wednesday. The Oscar-winning actress joined fellow cast members Joseph Quinn, Djimon Hounsou and more for the red carpet event.
At the premiere, Nyong’o fashioned a monochrome look with plenty of shimmering elements. The actress fashioned a custom ensemble courtesy of Prada, featuring a black allover sequin jumpsuit, black satin miniskirt with a geometric train and black patent leather pumps.

Nyong’o’s sequin jumpsuit featured an off-the-shoulder neckline and long sleeves. The garment fit Nyong’o’s frame, and the allover sequin detailing was broken up by the satin skirt and flowing train, which the actress wore overtop of her jumpsuit, creating a contrasting texture effect.
As for her accessories, Nyong’o opted for glittering silver pieces by De Beers, including two cocktail rings on either hand and statement earrings. The actress collaborated with De Beers on a campaign in October 2022 as the jewelry brand’s first global ambassador.
When it came to the rest of her glam, Nyong’o turned to hairstylist Vernon François for her intricate look, which featured beaded additions to her hair. The “A Quiet Place: Day One” star’s makeup featured bold black eyeliner and a berry red lip, courtesy of makeup artist Nick Barose. Nyong’o’s look was curated by stylist Micaela Erlanger.
Throughout the latter half of her press tour for “A Quiet Place: Day One,” Nyong’o leaned into monochrome dressing, particularly choosing all-black looks that put a spin on classic pieces like the little black dress and power suit.
For her June 19 appearance on “Late Night With Seth Meyers,” Nyong’o put a twist on the classic LBD with a custom dress courtesy of fashion label Mônot, which featured a fringy update. On Monday, Nyong’o gave suiting up a sensual spin in a double-breasted blazer, short shorts and sheer black stockings with intricate detailing for “A Quiet Place: Day One” photo call with her costars.

“A Quiet Place: Day One” is the third installment in the “A Quiet Place” franchise, following 2018’s “A Quiet Place” and 2020’s “A Quiet Place: Part II.” The film chronicles the invasion of an alien species that attacks based on sound. “A Quiet Place: Day One” hits theaters Thursday.
