I’m a Celebrity airs results of viewer vote for camp leader

I’m a Celebrity tonight (November 27) revealed that Sam Thompson has been voted in as the first camp leader of this series.
Nick Pickard first read out Grace Dent’s letter to the campmates explaining why she left the show, before he also revealed who was chosen as camp leader: "The public has been voting for the first leader of the camp. The campmate with the highest number of votes is Sam."
Sam then celebrated wildly before Fred Sirieix jokingly congratulated him after Nick revealed that Sam had to immediately pick a deputy. He chose Marvin Humes, explaining: "He’s the one, when I’m being stupid, is like 'mate, you probably shouldn’t do that'."

Sam said he was "blown away" at being chosen as camp leader and "will not rest until the camp is in tip-top shape". While, Marvin said: "It will be utter chaos because he is chaos, but a good chaos."
Jamie Lynn Spears commended Sam on choosing Marvin and revealed that she thought Sam would be an "entertaining" leader.
Tony Bellow, however, said he didn't think Sam was "an ideal decision maker", adding that Sam needed "not just a right hand or a left hand, but holding up and carrying".

The excitable Sam then had to work with Marvin to hand out roles for everyone in camp. They chose Fred and Jamie Lynn as the camp chefs and put Josie Gibson and Nella Rose on washing-up duty. Nigel Farage and Frankie Dettori were assigned to water duty, while Nick and Tony were put on camp maintenance.
Tony was also on dunny duty with Danielle Harold, but both were in good spirits about it as day one of Sam’s camp leadership officially commenced.
One added bonus of camp leadership is being able to sleep on the camp bus, but Sam and Marvin were not able to enjoy that perk as they, along with Tony, volunteered to spend the night at the Misery Motel, where they will have the chance to win coins to spend at the jungle vending machine.
