Made in Chelsea's Jamie Laing "f**ked up" by not inviting Spencer Matthews to his wedding

Jamie Lang has revealed that he "f**ked up" by not inviting his Made in Chelsea co-star Spencer Matthews to his wedding.

The reality stars have been close friends since their time on the E4 series, which is why some fans were shocked when Spencer wasn't at the ceremony – he was on holiday with his family in Portugal on the day.

Jamie, who tied the knot with his co-star Sophie Habboo earlier this month, has explained that Spencer and his wife Vogue Williams' absence from the ceremony was down to a "miscommunication" that he blames himself for.

Both couples sat down together to clear the air about the situation on Jamie and Sophie's NearlyWeds podcast, where Jamie took full responsibility for the mix-up.

Jamie admitted he didn't invite Vogue and Spencer to their London ceremony as he knew they were going to be away on the day, and explained: "I f**ked up. We had our wedding, our civil ceremony, in the UK. It was a hectic process.

"Amongst the hectic-ness of getting people there and things like that, I thought Spen and Vogue were away. Actually, Sophie took over and said, 'Are they coming?' and I said, 'No, they're in Portugal'. And I didn't send out an invite... for you guys to come.

"Spen got upset – understandably, I get it... So I sent Vogue a message – and what was really bad is I said, 'Vogue, well I hope I can get support', and Vogue went, 'To be honest, Jamie, it's not good'. And I was like, 'F**k'."

"You were hoping for support?" Spencer asked Jamie.

"I was hoping Vogue would be like, 'Don't worry about it!' But she was like, 'No, to be honest, it's not good'," Jamie recalled.

Vogue added that Spencer was "very upset" by what happened, adding: "I have to say, I've never seen him like that, he was genuinely upset over something! And I was like, 'Oh god'."

It was the first time the old friends and their partners discussed the situation together, which had left Vogue and Spencer upset after they were bombarded with criticism for supposedly skipping the big day.

Spencer shared: "To be honest, Jamie, like, you're my best friend in the world. Which is why I think it hurt so much.

"Like if it was anyone else. For your wedding – I would fly three times around the world to come to it because I care about you so much."

Jamie and Sophie are due to have a second ceremony in Marbella next month, although Vogue has previously said that she won't be able to make it as things currently stand, due to a scheduling clash.

Speaking on the Spencer & Vogue podcast, Vogue said she was "raging" about not being able to go to the May ceremony due to circumstances beyond her control.

Made in Chelsea airs on E4.
