MAFS star announces engagement with sweet proposal picture

Married at First Sight Australia star Carly Bowyer has announced her engagement to partner Neil Goldsmith.

The star appeared in the fifth season of the reality show back in 2018, coupling up with Justin Fischer during the experiment before they eventually split ahead of the final decision.

She subsequently had a romance with co-star Troy Delmege outside the show, but has since moved on with Neil. The couple welcomed a son in 2020.

The pair have now taken the next step in their relationship, with Carly confirming via Instagram that they are engaged.

"So this happened.. 💍 What a way to end 2023!" she wrote in the caption accompanying a photo of Neil on one knee, with their son also in the frame.

The comment section was filled with messages of congratulations, with one follower writing: "Omg congratulations. What a beautiful photo. 🍾💍".

Whilst it's a happy time for Carly and Neil, season 10 stars Ollie Skelton and Tahnee Cook recently announced they had decided to end their 16-month relationship.

"Hello, Tahnee and I have split up. It's sad, but it's okay," wrote Ollie in a statement. "What a ride! A journey filled with love, laughter, challenges, and in the last month, reflection. I think we tried really hard to make it work."

"There is such a separation from Skye Suites to real life that I think is really hard to account for and (albeit not without trying) was an adjustment that we struggled to make," he added.

"I kind of have this pipe dream of us being like Jerry and Elaine from Seinfeld post-breakup, a very hard thing to do obviously, but the sentiment at its core is that I plan to try to be someone who champions Tahnee and can be there for her as a friend."
