Married At First Sight star Martha Kalifatidis has welcomed her first child, a baby boy, with fiancé Michael Brunelli.

The pair, who met on the sixth season of MAFS Australia, revealed the news of their son's arrival in a joint post on Instagram.

Sharing an image of the newborn's sleeping in a hospital cot with a bouquet of flowers in the background, the couple confirmed the baby's name as Lucius.

"Lucius Brunelli," the caption reads. "He’s here, he’s perfect."

Michael jokingly clarified the pronunciation of the name under the post, writing: "LOO-SHUS, if you’re wondering," in the comments.

The name reveal follows previous speculation that the couple were planning to name the child Giuseppe. Following her baby shower, Martha had shared an image from a photo album, with a message from her mother Mary appearing to name the child so.

"Dearest Giuseppe, you are my first grandchild," she had written (via Daily Mail). "Love you Giuseppe. Can't wait to meet you."

The reality star previously revealed that she had been "devastated" to learn the sex of the baby while pregnant, after becoming convinced she was having a baby girl.

"I'll be so honest with you guys, at the beginning I was devastated," she told KIIS FM's Will & Woody.

"I was 100% sure I was having a girl, like I had only opened girl clothing tabs on my phone. I was so convinced.

"There was no chance in my mind it was going to be a boy. I had planned my whole life for this girl."
