Married at First Sight UK spoilers follow.

Married at First Sight UK aired the first of its two-part finale as the first set of couples renewed their vowels and revealed whether or not they'd be staying together outside of the experiment.

Arthur and Laura were the first couple up, with Arthur explaining he was convinced they could work on the outside. Laura, however, disagreed. She thanked him for a wonderful relationship but then gave Arthur some disappointing news.

"I have to be honest and say I’ve been troubled by a nagging doubt. I feet that I’ve carried this relationship forward by myself and worried that I’ve lost myself in the process," Laura said.

Laura revealed that speaking to her friends over the last few days had reminded her of who she was and said that the more she grows as a person, the more she grows apart from Arthur. Laura then gave the ring back to an emotional Arthur, telling him he’d be perfect for someone but not for her.

Arthur admitted that he felt like "crap" but said he respected Laura's decision.

Erica and Jordan were next, with Jordan revealing that he had such strong feelings for Erica, it scared him. In her vowels, Erica wondered if they were doing what makes them both happy but confirmed she wanted to stay with him. A smitten Jordan gushed over Erica and said he could see them doing “everything” together.

Peggy and Georges were next up, with Peggy’s decision being clouded by her mother’s insistence that Georges wasn’t right for her. Peggy seemed to want to give things a go but her mother was clear in her brutal assessment of Georges: “He’s just a lad.” This caused Peggy great trouble as she didn’t want to upset her family or Georges.

Georges grew emotional while reading his vowels, explaining that his future “does not work without [Peggy]”. Peggy said that she was worried that he would go back to his old ways, as her family had warned her

With Peggy and Georges both crying, the episode ended and viewers will have to wait to hear Peggy's decision.
