Married at First Sight UK groom Brad Skelly has described the show as being "a lot more intense" compared to Celebs Go Dating.

The reality TV star appeared on Celebs Go Dating back in 2016 as a potential match for Charlotte Crosby.

"MAFS was a lot more intense, more so with the isolation process... very regimented," he told Digital Spy and other press.

"When you can't see people – you know, [they] keep you in a holding room and then you're on then you're straight back off – a lot of that, I struggled with.

"Because I like to communicate and connect with people, and see how the journey's going, and you're really dragged away from a lot of that. So yeah, it was a lot, and it was quite stressful at times to be fair."

There's no question that Brad takes any frustrations in his stride. In a previous interview with The Mirror, he admitted that he lost his day job due to the filming schedule of Celebs Go Dating.

"I was working in a fish factory, but I lost my job because I kept travelling to London for filming. It's definitely been worth it, the job was crap anyway," he said back in 2016.

Meanwhile, fellow groom Paul has shared that his parents initially struggled to get behind him appearing on the show.

"They're traditional African parents, they were like 'this isn't happening', even though at this point there's a camera on their face," he said.

Paul did add that his mother was supportive in the end, explaining: "She still got behind me even though she disagreed, which was nice."
