Married at First Sight UK spoilers follow.

Married at First Sight UK star Ella Morgan Clark has opened up about "difficult conversations" to come on the series.

The star was introduced to viewers this week as she was paired with husband Nathanial Valentino, and has also made history as the first trans contestant on the series.

Talking exclusively to Digital Spy about what's to come, Ella spoke a bit about working with the show's experts on the couch, admitting things got pretty "intense".

"With the commitment ceremony – it seems on TV like it's only 10 minutes with each couple," she explained. "But in reality, I mean, I was sat – because I could talk for England – there for about an hour most of the time. And that was all of us. All of the couples had to do 45 minutes to an hour, and sometimes longer.

"It’s very intense, and you forget that everyone else is in the room. You forget that you're being filmed. You forget that the other brides and grooms and your cast mates are sat there listening to you."

"I wore my heart on my sleeve," she continued. "All I can say is that I have a big heart, and I’ve never cried so much in my life, and I was just myself.

"This whole journey, actually, I promised my parents that I would be nothing but myself. Because if I’m going to be judged, I’d rather be judged on me [rather than] on some fake persona that I could easily do or put on to please people."

Ella went on to reveal that she was "100% genuine" in herself, and "did have a lot of difficult conversations on that couch with the experts".

"But I also gained a lot," the star added. "I learned a lot about myself and my relationship with my husband. It was hard, but it was great to feel raw, and to just be… It's like free therapy....

"But you learn a lot about yourself, and it’s really hard. But you have to wear your heart on your sleeve, and be honest, and be true, because otherwise all their advice doesn’t really work or go in. You have to be true and honest with them."

"And I think – and I won't say names. But there's certain people that maybe don't do that because they’re scared of hearing the truth," Ella further said. "I got told some things that I didn't like hearing. But, as we all do, I took it on board, and it was incredible.

"So I'm glad that I was honest. Maybe a bit too honest, sometimes, for my own good, especially at the dinner parties… But I'm glad, because I can't now have any regrets. I don't have one regret."
