Johor Bahru – Mah Sing Group Berhad (Mah Sing) targets to expand its presence in Johor by actively seeking for landbank in Johor for townships, industrial project and M Series projects. It launched the sales gallery for M Minori in Taman Austin Perdana, Johor Bahru, marking Mah Sing’s inaugural M Series development in the southern region.

Supported by its affordable starting price of RM288,000, M Minori’s Tower A with 252 units of non-Bumiputera lots was fully sold over one weekend. Due to the encouraging response received, Tower B is now open for registration.

Mah Sing’s Founder and Group Managing Director, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Leong Hoy Kum said, “Johor Bahru is an important market for us since our first township here in 2000, and Mah Sing has been operating here for 23 years. As such, we are actively looking to buy more landbank in Johor especially for townships, industrial projects and M series projects. We are very optimistic of the Johor property market due to Mah Sing’s strong brand recognition here, spillover demand from Singapore and upcoming infrastructure projects such Sistem Transit Rapid (RTS) Link Johor Bahru-Singapore which will further boost economic activities in Johor Bahru. In fact, M Minori will provide shuttle bus service from M Minori to the CIQ and Bukit Chagar RTS Station. Furthermore, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop Johor – Singapore Special Economic Zone (SEZ) between Malaysia and Singapore which is planned to be inked by mid-January next year, is expected to stimulate the economic activities between Singapore and Johor. This will also encourage more people to look for properties and reside in Johor, hence it is timely for us to expand our presence in Johor.”

M Minori’s sales gallery opening was officiated by Member of Parliament for Tebrau, Yang Berhormat Tuan Jimmy Puah Wee Tse, Mayor of Johor Bahru City Council (MBJB), Yang Berhormat Dato’ Haji Mohd Noorazam Bin Dato’ Haji Osman, Mah Sing’s Executive Director, Datuk Seri Leong Yuet Mei and Mah Sing’s Chief Executive Officer of Property Subsidiaries, Benjamin Ong Chin Yee, together with the senior management team of Mah Sing and government officials.

M Minori is a mixed development comprising three blocks of serviced suites with a gross development value (GDV) of approximately RM469 million. The 3 blocks consist of a total of 1,526 residential units, with 1-bedroom, 1+1 bedroom, 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom units, with built-ups ranging from 570 sqft to 880 sqft. M Minori also features 2 retail lots to offer convenience to residents.

Our M Series developments have shown good results with high take-up rates, due to its strategic location in established neighbourhoods, attractive price points with practical layouts, and excellent connectivity and accessibility. We are confident that our M Series will suit our southern market, hence, we introduced M Minori. The encouraging take-up of Tower A launched last month proved that this decision was correct. Looking ahead, Mah Sing will continue to look for suitable lands which can replicate the success of our M Series residential developments as well as industrial properties.” Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Leong added.

Mah Sing unveiled the new M Minori sales gallery with a ribbon cutting ceremony and show unit tour for guests. Dato’ Haji Mohd Noorazam Bin Dato’ Haji Osman, Mayor of MBJB said, “We laud Mah Sing for prioritizing sustainability and the community’s needs in every aspect of their development process, especially in offering quality developments such as M Minori. The State Government of Johor collaborates closely with companies in the private sector that are committed to developing sustainable homes in strategic locations that are complete with public facilities and amenities. This is also in line with MBJB’s mission to build a sustainable and low carbon city.”

Inspired by the Japanese Wabi-sabi concept, the show units at the newly launched M Minori sales gallery enable homebuyers to gain a better understanding of the design concept of the development, visualise how spaces can be utilised and giving them ideas to create their dream home.
