Main route into Norwich closed after 'police incident'
A section of one of the main routes into Norwich has been closed following a "police incident".
National Highways said the A47 was shut in both directions between Postwick and Acle.
The agency added that it did not know when the road would reopen and urged drivers to allow extra time for their journeys. People have reported long queues in the area on social media.
Police have been contacted for comment.
On X, National Highways said: "The A47 in Norfolk is closed in both directions between the A1270, Postwick, Norwich, and the A1064, Acle, due to Norfolk Police-led incident."
