Mandy Wong is Singapore and Malaysia's Favourite TVB Actress
23 Nov – Mandy Wong was recently announced the winner of Singapore and Malaysia's Favourite Actress award.
As reported on HK01, Mandy, who accepted her award at the TVB Anniversary Gala recently, thanked her co-stars of her highly rated drama, "Threesome", and said that she is grateful to have won the votes of both Malaysians and Singaporeans.
She also acknowledged veteran star Liza Wang in her speech, saying, "I worked with her in my first drama, and she pointed out how poorly I performed. But just now, she told me that my acting has improved a lot in recent years. People do notice!"
Speaking to the media after accepting the awards, the actress admitted that it was like a dream for her to win the two accolades.
Mandy did not forget to thank her pals from their Nonsense Club, as well as former producer Poon Ka Tak for giving her the opportunity to become an actress.
TVB previously revealed that they would not be holding the Starhub TVB Awards in Singapore and Malaysia's TVB Star Awards this year, and instead announced the winners of the TV Kings and Queens chosen by Malaysian and Singaporean fans respectively at the Gala.
Mandy Wong bested three other contenders - Nancy Wu, Alice Chan, and Ali Lee - to win the said award.
