Maren Morris comes out as bisexual in celebratory Pride Month post
The country star is "happy to be the B in LGBTQ+."
Country superstar Maren Morris has come out as bisexual in a celebratory Pride Month post.
In an Instagram post Sunday, the 34-year-old Grammy winner shared photos of herself performing at her tour stop in Phoenix and waving a Pride flag. "Happy to be the B in LGBTQ+," she wrote. "Happy pride."
Entertainment Weekly has reached out to representatives for Morris for further comment.
The news comes a little more than four months after Morris finalized her divorce from fellow country artist Ryan Hurd after five years of marriage. They share one son, Hayes, 4.

Maren MorrisMorris has been a longtime advocate for the LGBTQ+ community within a largely conservative space that has at times clashed with her values. She previously made headlines in 2022 for feuding with Jason Aldean's influencer wife, Brittany, over the latter's transphobic remarks about gender-affirming care for children.
Morris was labeled a "lunatic country music person" on Tucker Carlson's Fox News show as a result, and in response released "lunatic country music person" merch with proceeds benefitting Trans Lifeline and the GLAAD Transgender Media Program.

"I hate feeling like I need to be the hall monitor of treating people like human beings in country music," Morris said in an interview with the Los Angeles Times that year. "It's exhausting. But there's a very insidious culture of people feeling very comfortable being transphobic and homophobic and racist, and that they can wrap it in a joke and no one will ever call them out for it. It just becomes normal for people to behave like that."
Morris is currently headlining her RSVP Redux Tour, billed as a revival of her pandemic-halted 2020 RSVP Tour. It kicked off May 29 in San Francisco and will conclude July 31 in Sandpoint, Idaho, with stops in Seattle, Vancouver, Salt Lake City, and Austin in between and with special guest Betty Who on select dates. In partnership with Ally Coalition, Morris will donate $1 from every ticket sold to LGBTQ+ youth organizations.
