Margot Robbie and America Ferrera Get Structural in Versace, Ryan Gosling Shines in Gucci and More ‘Barbie’ Cast Looks on the Oscars 2024 Red Carpet

The cast of Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” hit the red carpet at the Oscars on Sunday in Los Angeles. Stars of the summer blockbuster including Margot Robbie and America Ferrera glistened in chain-mail Versace frocks, while Ryan Gosling and Simu Liu sported sleek suits.

Ahead, all of the details on what the “Barbie” cast wore at the 96th Academy Awards.

Margot Robbie

Robbie’s strapless Versace gown came from the Italian label’s fall 2024 collection, completing her look with vintage gold and diamond jewelry from Fred Leighton. Robbie was assisted by stylist Andrew Mukamal, whose other clients include Carey Mulligan and Billie Eilish.

America Ferrera

Ferrera opted for a custom Atelier Versace gown in Barbie’s favorite shade: pink. The actress also added on Stuart Weitzman shoes and Pomellato jewelry. Ferrera was dressed by Karla Welch, who’s also known for styling Tracee Ellis Ross, Greta Gerwig and Amy Poehler.

Ryan Gosling

Gosling donned a custom Gucci suit studded with silver sequins. He accessorized with patent leather loafers and a Tag Heuer watch. The actor was styled by Mark Avery.

Issa Rae

Issa Rae’s plunging Ami Paris gown featured a sequined bodice and a velvet slit skirt. The actress and producer completed her look with Gianvito Rossi pumps. Rae was styled by Wouri Vice, whose other clients include H.E.R. and Andra Day.

Simu Liu

Liu’s Fendi suit consisted of a peak lapel blazer, pleated trousers and a knit tank top. The actor accessorized with patent leather boots and a diamond and platinum brooch by De Beers. Stylist Chloe Takayanagi, who also works with Sterling K. Brown and Kyle MacLachlan, dressed Liu for the Oscars.

The 96th Academy Awards is the most highly anticipated awards show of the year. Jimmy Kimmel returns to host the Oscars for the fourth time. All five Best Original Song nominees will perform live during the ceremony, including renditions of “I’m Just Ken” featuring Ryan Gosling, “What Was I Made For” by Billie Eilish, Becky G’s performance of “The Fire Inside,” “It Never Went Away” by Jon Batiste, and a performance of “Wahzhazhe (A Song For My People)” by Scott George featuring the Osage Singers.
