Marjorie Taylor Greene speaks on effort to oust Speaker Johnson: Watch live

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) is slated to deliver remarks Wednesday morning on her effort to oust Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.).

Greene vowed yesterday to push ahead with her resolution against Johnson, even after Democratic leaders said they would shield him from a conservative coup — at least until the end of the term.

She announced her plan in a post on the social platform X, shortly after the top three Democrats announced they would move to table her motion to vacate if she forced a vote on the floor.

The event is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. EDT.
