Martin Lawrence Says He’s “Healthy As Hell” In Interview On Fan Concerns

A viral clip taken at the actor’s Bad Boys: Ride or Die premiere in Los Angeles raised some concerns among fans, who saw what appeared to be an unsteady Lawrence grasping co-star Will Smith for support.

Lawrence has had public bouts with apparent illness in the past, including incidents of exhaustion and dehydration that required hospitalization.

On Tuesday, Lawrence spoke with Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning and addressed concerns about his health

“Now Martin, everybody’s talking [about] you on the balcony waving at people, [you’re] looking around, where you’re looking around? Were you looking around like, ‘Yo, this is massive?’” host Ebro Darden asked. “Because people took it like there was something wrong with your health.”

Lawrence said that he was just surprised by the crowd size at the event. “I was like, oh, this is rock concert stuff,” he said. “What the hell is going on? I was like, for a movie?”

Darden then asked Lawrence again about “anything you want to say to the people because they’re concerned about your health.”

“I’m fine. I’m in God’s hands,” Lawrence responded. “I’m blessed, you know? I’m glad to be waking up every day. I’m all good. No need for people to be concerned.”

At the end of the interview, he repeated his claims. “I’m healthy as hell. Stop the rumors!”
