Martin Lewis has landed a role presenting This Morning next week.

The money expert, who has appeared on the show numerous times as a guest over the years, will step up to front the daytime show on Monday (March 4).

Revealing the news on X (formerly Twitter), Lewis revealed that presenting the show is a "bucket list" dream that will be fulfilled.

"I've been expert-ing on @thismorning for 21yrs – in recent times usually from home," he said. "Well I'm going in on Monday... because having mentioned off-hand to the producers last week that I'd like to present it ONCE (bucket list thing), they said come on and give it a go!

"No idea if I'll be any good at it, especially the less serious bits, but it'll be fun to try – before the proper new dynamic duo of Ben & Cat get going," the star added.

"We can’t wait to have you Martin!" the official This Morning account replied. "Now the main question is… what to wear?! See you on Monday (alongside the lovely [Josie Gibson]!)."

As mentioned, Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley are set to take over as permanent presenters on This Morning next month following the departures of Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby last year.

"This really feels like a very special moment for Cat and I to be part of the next chapter of This Morning," Ben said upon their announcement.

"It's an honour to be trusted with the reins, join Alison and Dermot and all the team that work on and off screen and do such a great job."

Cat added: "This Morning is and always will be the viewers' show. Ben and I both know how much people love it, and with the help of an amazing team of people, we're going to do our best to take care of it."

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV1.
