MBC's international version of "We Got Married"

13 Aug – It was reported that broadcasting network, MBC is planning to make an international broadcast for their hit TV reality show, "We Got Married".

Koreaboo website revealed that MBC announced, "On 18 July, both our party and Sony Pictures Entertainment Network Asia (SPENA) have exchanged a declaration of intent to prepare production and broadcast for an international version of 'We Got Married'."

They added, "MBC has begin producing an international version of 'We Got Married', and Sony Network will be broadcasting the show in 41 countries including China, Taiwan, India, Australia, and more."

It was revealed that the new international version of 'We Got Married' will have the same format as the Korean version, where two paired couples will carry out an on-screen marriage and will have 12 to 15 episode per season.

MBC continued, "We will cast stars from different backgrounds and will focus on the couple learning about their culture. The international version is scheduled for broadcast in winter or next spring."

In February 2012, MBC aired a Chinese version of "We Got Married" as a way of celebrating 20 years of diplomatic relations between Korea and China.
