McDonald's launches 'Ha Ha Cheong Gai' menu in honour of National Day
In honour of Singapore’s upcoming 53rd “birthday”, fast food chain McDonald’s has launched a new “Ha Ha Cheong Gai” menu inspired by local hawker favourites.
The limited-time menu – unveiled on Tuesday (10 July) in conjunction with the Singapore Food Festival 2018 – will feature the “Ha Ha Cheong Gai” Chicken Burger and “Ha Ha Cheong Gai” Chicken Drumlets.
The chicken burger features a whole chicken thigh marinated with real prawn paste and coated with breadcrumbs, which is then slathered with prawn paste-flavoured mayonnaise.
The burger (priced at $6.05) and the drumlets ($2.20 for two pieces) are available at all Singapore outlets, as well as through McDelivery and GrabFood.
McDonald’s will also be introducing the Breakfast Curry Burger – a McChicken patty layered with the fast food chain’s curry sauce, served with melted cheese and egg – to its menu, priced at $4.20.
The curry burger is available during breakfast hours through McDelivery, GrabFood and at all outlets except LIDO and Singapore Science Centre.
Customers can also look forward to the Kueh Salat Cake available at all McCafes.
The addition of these menu items follows McDonald’s launch of the D24 Durian McFlurry in Singapore last week.
McDonald’s has previously unveiled other locally inspired menu items, such as last year’s Nasi Lemak Burger and Chendol McFlurry.
