Congratulations are in order for Lindsay Lohan and her husband Bader Shammas who are expecting their first child.

Lohan announced the happy news on Instagram, sharing a photo of a white babygrow that read 'coming soon' and captioning the post: "We are blessed and excited!" while also tagging Shammas.

The Mean Girls star was congratulated by friend Paris Hilton (who became a first-time mum herself earlier this year) who commented: "Congratulations love! So happy for you. Welcome to the Mommy Club."

In July 2022 a representative for Lohan confirmed to People that she and Shammas had tied the knot, after she referred to him as her 'husband' in an Instagram post. Sharing a photo of them smiling together, Lohan had said: "I am the luckiest woman in the world.

"You found me and knew that I wanted to find happiness and grace, all at the same time. I am stunned that you are my husband. My life and my everything. Every woman should feel like this everyday."

Lohan announced her engagement on Instagram in November 2021, sharing a photo of them together with her diamond ring front and centre, writing: "My love. My life. My family. My future."

Lohan was recently seen in Netflix Holiday movie Falling for Christmas, where she covered festive classic 'Jingle Bell Rock' for the film's soundtrack.

Of course 'Jingle Bell Rock' is also featured in, arguably, Lohan's most iconic movie Mean Girls where she performs a dance to it at the school talent show alongside Rachel McAdams, Lacey Chabert and Amanda Seyfried.

Speaking on Live with Kelly & Ryan last year, Lohan revealed she almost gave an even bigger nod to Mean Girls in Falling For Christmas.

"It was my brilliant idea to bring it up in a conversation with [Janeen Damian, director] and the producers. I was like: 'Oh, wouldn't it be fun if we did a blooper reel at the end and we all kind of did the Christmas scene from the talent show in Mean Girls?'" she said.

"That was the first idea. Then I was like: 'Let's not actually do that,' and then they said: 'Oh, what about the song?'"

Lohan then went on to appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she admitted that she "didn't want to ruin" the Mean Girls legacy.

"I shouldn't have said it because it went straight to: 'Oh, let's recreate the Mean Girls talent show scene,'" Lohan said. "I was like: 'Oh, no, no, you can't touch Mean Girls! Sorry, you can't do that.'"
