Snoop Dogg has inspired Meek Mill to make a lifestyle change.

After Snoop, 52, surprised fans by announcing that he was giving up smoking, Mill, 36, shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, that he is ready to do the same.

"Ima wuit [sic] once I go cold in Dubai," he wrote in a tweet that contained a photo of Snoop's announcement. "Snoop start the no smoking challenge we gone follow up! It’s not healthy for me!"

In a follow-up post, he shared that he was going to follow in Snoop's footsteps because his doctor told him that he has "a lil bit [of] emphysema" and that smoking cuts his "lifeline in half." According to the Mayo Clinic, "Emphysema is a lung condition that causes shortness of breath. In people with emphysema, the air sacs in the lungs (alveoli) are damaged."

Symptoms of emphysema include shortness of breath, fingernails that turn blue or gray, and not being mentally alert, per Mayo Clinic.

"I was addicted to the nicotine and this new weed got too many chemicals and too risky to play with my mental," he added.

While both tweets included mixed replies from fans, many praised his decision.

One fan wrote, "Facts ! Smokin ain’t healthy for everyone! Any type of smoke in your lungs is bad.. especially if you been smoking for years on years." Another replied, "This is good bro! I love seeing influential people use their influence for good things."

Being that Snoop had previously been vocal about his love for smoking before making his announcement, many celebrities have often shared their experiences of getting high with the rapper.

In an October episode of the Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend podcast, Ed Sheeran opened up about smoking weed with Snoop backstage after a concert.

"I was in the dressing room and they’re just [smoking] blunt for blunt for blunt for blunt, and I’m like, I guess at some point during the night I have to, just to be like, ‘I smoked with Snoop Dogg,'" Sheeran, 32, said.

"So I have a bit, and I was like, ‘I don’t feel too bad. This is good,' " he recalled. "Then I have a bit more, and then I have a bit more, and then I have a bit more. I just remember looking at him and being like, 'I can’t see right now.' "

In October, Snoop opened up to PEOPLE about his life motto as he grows older.
