Meet the Buddhist monks recycling plastic bottles into robes

They rely on donations of plastic, which can then be recycled into new robes.

So far the monks have crushed 88,185 pounds of plastic in two years aiming to curb the litter in the surrounding Chao Phraya River.

They have created over 800 sets of robes from the plastic fibers. Thailand is the currently fifth highest contributor of plastic to the world's oceans.
