Megan Thee Stallion Sets June Release Date for New Self-Titled Album

Megan Thee Stallion revealed her third studio album will arrive later this June during one of the rescheduled dates of her Atlanta tour stops on Sunday night. The self-titled record will be released under her own Hot Girl Productions and is slated for June 28.

After the May 31 and June 1 dates of her Atlanta concerts were postponed due to burst water pipes and outages, Megan shared the news of her album with a QR code and speech during Sunday’s show at the State Farm Arena. She also displayed the album’s artwork, where she is seen hanging upside down, enveloped in a butterfly cocoon.

The singer and rapper preceded “Megan” with three singles, including fiery tracks called “Cobra” and “Boa,” and the first being “Hiss.” The latter was the focal point of a blazing conversation online that centered around a line Nicki Minaj took to be pointed at her. With that, the first rap beef of the year began, and “Hiss” went on to become Megan’s first No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 as a solo artist.

In a recent interview with L’OFFICIEL, Megan further explained, “I don’t even know how to describe [the new album], honestly. ‘Hiss’ was me just getting the things that I had to say off my chest. I’m really not focused on the negativity on my album. I have a lot of different songs on the album because my emotion doesn’t stop at anger. My emotion doesn’t stop at sadness because I did grow and I did start feeling more things. I started feeling really happy. So you have songs on the album that are about the positive times that I’m starting to have. You get a little bit of everything. You get all the emotions in there.”

“Megan” will be Megan’s first album since 2022’s “Traumazine,” and her first since announcing her move to be a fully independent artist.

Megan has full ownership of her masters and publishing under Hot Girl Productions and is simultaneously working with Warner Music Group and its international affiliates. Additionally, Megan — who is managed by Roc Nation — has full creative control of her music releases along with the option to bring artists that are signed to her imprint.

The Houston-bred rapper will continue her “Hot Girl Summer Tour” with stops next week in Raleigh, N.C., Hollywood, Fla., and Tampa Bay.
