Meghan Trainor reveals she had a miscarriage scare while in the middle of an interview.

On the Thursday, June 6 episode of Mythical Kitchen's Last Meals, the “Made You Look” singer opens up about the rollercoaster of emotions she experienced the day she found out she was pregnant with her second child, son Barry, 10 months.

After seeing the positive test, Trainor says, “That morning I was, like, stoked, beaming of joy, I videotaped it. I did interviews and they were like, ‘How are you?’ and I said, ‘I’m thriving.’ I was so happy.”

The Grammy winner goes on to say, “And then, right before my last interview, I look down and I’m gushing blood,” adding that she “ruined a chair.”

“I go, ‘Oh no,’ and they’re like ‘Okay, Ryan Seacrest is on. Go!’ ” the musician recalls.

The mother of two explains that she spent the entire interview holding back tears. “I did that whole interview like, ‘don’t cry, don’t cry, don’t cry’ and then got through it. I shut the computer and was like, ‘Hey team I think I’m miscarrying right now.’”

She continues, “I went to the bathroom and saw what was happening, and I was like alright I had a baby this morning and now they’re gone. I was like I’m just gonna keep testing, and the pregnancy stick still said positive.”

Eventually, Trainor says, “I got a blood test done, and it’s like the number is zero if you’re not pregnant. My number was 90,000.”

The artist then went to the doctor and found out that had been pregnant for much longer than she realized. “At six weeks I went in and she goes, ‘Woah, that’s a 10-week-old baby.’ So I was pregnant ever since the [Jimmy] Fallon performance.”

The Fallon performance she’s referring to is from last October when Trainor was promoting her new album Takin' It Back on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she performed her hit "Made You Look."

"That day, I literally did a TikTok that was like, 'When you get your period on Fallon...'" Trainor told PEOPLE in February 2023. "And that was me implanting. I was making motherf---ing life. I was making life during my sound check at Fallon."

According to the Mayo Clinic, implantation bleeding is common and "thought to happen when the fertilized egg attaches to the lining of the uterus"; it "usually occurs around the time you would expect to have a menstrual period" and "typically occurs about 10 to 14 days after conception."
