Mel B Says a Spice Girls Reunion of Some Kind Is 'Definitely' Happening This Year
The singer, who was known as "Scary Spice" in the group, confirmed the news on the U.K. talk show "Loose Women" on Thursday
The Spice Girls are preparing to spice up everyone's lives again in 2024!
Mel B. made the revelation on the U.K. talk show Loose Women on Thursday, when prompted by co-host Christine Lampard to give an update on the world's favorite messengers of girl power.
"We need happiness, we need empowerment back again, we need Spice Girls back basically," Lampard admitted, confessing that she'd consider "maybe" an acceptable update on a reunion.
The musician, 48, whose full name is Melanie Brown, went a step further, saying, "Tell me about it... we are definitely doing something.”
“I’m probably going to get told off [for revealing that], but I’ve said it. There you go," the Sunday Times best-selling author added. "I'm in trouble now."

But Mel. B. released a few more details about the upcoming reunion in January 2024, when Today with Hoda & Jenna co-host Hoda Kotb also asked about a potential Spice Girls reunion during the singer's appearance on the morning show.
"Well, I've been saying this forever, but now we're actually going to be releasing some really good news in about a few weeks that involves all five of us," Mel B said.
Although she avoided giving specific details about the project, she said the reunion would be "the gift that keeps on giving" to the pop group's fans.
The mother of two explained that a reunion of all five members has been difficult for them in the past because all five women are mothers with busy schedules.

The Spice Girls last reunited in 2019 for a 13-date U.K. tour — but Victoria Beckham (a.k.a. Posh Spice) didn't participate in those shows.
Mel B has been making the talk show rounds to promote the re-release of her book Brutally Honest, which includes three new chapters as of March 5.
