Michael Douglas reveals what he and Catherine Zeta-Jones do on Fridays: 'She makes me look good!'
Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones spend their Friday nights dancing together.
The 79-year-old actor has been married to 'Chicago' star Catherine, 54, since 2000 and revealed that even though he finds it "a little intimidating" because his wife is such a competent mover, he can still throw some "swing moves" when he needs to.
He told People: "I do tend to crank the music up on a Friday and dance around. But I’m a little intimidated because my wife is a pretty extraordinary dancer. I have a couple of swing moves down, the spin. She makes me look good."
The Hollywood star - who has Dylan, 23, and 20-year-old Carys with Catherine - was then asked about the "last date night" he went on with his Oscar-winning wife and recalled that it was in a California restaurant with legendary comedienne Carol Burnett and her husband.
He said: "We had dinner with Carol Burnett and her husband, Brian, at a restaurant in Santa Barbara. Catherine was goo-goo about Carol growing up, and it was fun to see her so excited."
Meanwhile, Michael and Catherine have become "empty nesters" in recent years because their children have both left home and he explained that his "guilty pleasure" these days is golf and he likes being able to take his wife out for a game without feeling any sort of "guilt" that they are leaving the kids behind.
He said: "It’s got to be golf. I’m blessed with the fact that I have a wife who loves playing too. Now that we’re empty nesters, I love going out just the two of us without feeling guilty about the kids being home.
