The Lord Of The Dance and Riverdance star revealed earlier this month that he had been diagnosed with an "aggressive form of cancer".
He has now updated fans on Instagram to share that he is back at home after his op.
Sharing an image showing him making a fist, Flatley wrote: "Thank you to everyone around the world for your love and prayers.
"I am overwhelmed by your kindness."
"I have been released from hospital and am on the mend," added the 64-year-old.
The star's fans were thrilled with the update, with one posting that it was "the best news for today".
"Well done Michael, keep fighting," said another.
Someone else wrote: "So so happy to read this! God bless!"
"Michael that’s great news," said one fan.
"Holding you high in my thoughts. There’s a lot of love out there for you, I’m sure many agree. Please rest well."
Flatley's diagnosis was announced on Instagram with a black and white post that showed him looking out to sea.
"Dear friends, we have something personal to share, Michael Flatley has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer," it said.
"He has undergone surgery and is in the care of an excellent team of doctors. No further comments will be made at this time.
"We ask only for your prayers and well wishes.
"Thank you. Teamlord."
Flatley is best known for dance shows such as Riverdance and Lord Of The Dance, which started in the 90s and went on to become hugely successful.
