Miles Teller, Elizabeth Olsen & Callum Turner To Star In A24 Romantic Comedy ‘Eternity’ With Star Thrower Producing

EXCLUSIVE: A24 and Star Thrower Entertainment have partnered on director David Freyne’s romantic comedy Eternity with Miles Teller, Elizabeth Olsen and Callum Turner in talks to star. Freyne will direct the pic, with Teller and Olsen exec producing.

A24 will finance and produce, with Oscar-nominated producers Trevor White and Tim White under their Star Thrower Entertainment banner, which is best known for producing The Post and King Richard. Pat Cunnane wrote the script, which appeared on the 2022 Black List.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the film is said to be a romantic comedy where everyone must decide who they want to spend eternity with. A24 will handle the global release.

After starring in the global blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick, Teller has continued to stay busy and next will be seen in Apple Original Films’ The Gorge opposite Anya-Taylor Joy. He is currently filming the Michael Jackson biopic Michael, playing Jackson’s longtime lawyer, John Branca.

After reprising her role of Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch in Marvel’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Olsen followed with her Golden Globe-nominated role in Max’s Love & Death and next can be seen in the film His Three Daughters. She is also attached to star in Todd Solondz’s next film, Love Child.

Turner has had himself a busy couple of months first starring in the George Clooney-directed The Boys in the Boat. He followed that up with Apple’s hit World War II miniseries, Masters of the Air.

Freyne got his start in post-production before stepping into the director’s chair. He made his feature debut with The Cured starring Elliot Page, which premiered at TIFF and won Best Horror Feature at Fantastic Fest. His sophomore feature Dating Amber, a semi-autobiographical comedy inspired by Freyne’s adolescence in the 1990s and shot in his own hometown, launched to acclaim on Amazon.

Star Thrower recently wrapped production on Chad Hartigan’s high-concept, character-driven romantic comedy The Threesome starring Zoey Deutch, Jonah Hauer-King and Ruby Cruz. In 2023, Star Thrower produced Chloe Domont’s Fair Play, which was released by Netflix, and Brian Duffield’s No One Will Save You, which was released on Hulu through 20th Century Studios.

This marks Cunnane’s first major script, who was an aide to President Barack Obama.

Teller is repped by CAA and Goodman Genow Schenkman; Olsen is repped by Gersh, Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Sloane Offer; and Turner is repped by WME, Curtis Brown Group and Johnson, Shapiro, Slewett & Kole.

Freyne is repped by Marnie Podos at Under New Mgmt and CAA, and Cunnane is repped by CAA, Heroes and Villains and Jackoway Austen Tyerman. Star Thrower also is repped by CAA.
