This Morning has historic NTAs 2023 loss
The 2023 National Television Awards played host to some big victories and first-time winners, but the ceremony also gave us a historic loss.
For the first time in 13 years, This Morning failed to scoop the Best Daytime award or its equivalent, losing out to The Repair Shop.
The loss comes as Holly Willoughby found herself snubbed from this year's TV presenter category, where her This Morning colleague Alison Hammond was nominated. (The award ended up going to Ant and Dec for the 22nd year in a row.)

This Morning's winning streak has ended during a time of turmoil for the show, with Phillip Schofield stepping down as a presenter earlier this year after admitting to having an affair with a younger colleague.
Following Schofield's resignation, Willoughby stayed on as a presenter alongside the rotating line-up of Hammond, Dermot O'Leary, Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle.
Willoughby returned to the show this week after her summer break, presenting alongside Hammond.
Just hours before the 2023 NTAs on September 5, it was revealed that Schofield had unfollowed Willoughby on Instagram, though she still follows him on the platform.
Back in June, Willoughby addressed the Schofield controversy and said the show was starting a "new chapter".

"You, me and all of us at This Morning gave our love and support to someone who was not telling the truth, who acted in a way that they themselves felt they had to resign from ITV and step down from a career that they loved," Holly said at the time.
She added: "I hope that as we start this new chapter and get back to a place of warmth and magic that this show holds for all of us, we can find strength in each other."
This Morning airs weekdays on ITV1.
