After four action-packed weekends of competitive play, the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Singapore (MPL SG) Season 6 ended with Team Flash on top, followed by RSG Singapore, Homebois SG, and Bleed Esports.

It's the first time in since Season 3 that back-to-back-back champions RSG failed to secure the top spot in regular season play.

Team Flash had beat RSG on the first day of S6, which meant that despite both teams having lost one series each, Flash ranks on top.

However, it was third placed Homebois SG that scored an upset by winning against Team Flash, which meant that Flash couldn't get a clean sweep going into the playoffs.

Bleed Esports came in at a comfortable fourth spot, but this means they will face the dominant Team Flash in the upper brackets at the playoff.

RSG will go up against Homebois SG — and Homebois SG will be looking for revenge, having lost to RSG during the regular season.

Meanwhile, Evil will face off Alchemy SG in the Lower Bracket, while Vanguard Esports will take on Stellark SG. Losers of this round will be relegated, and teams will likely fight hard here to avoid their fate and be forced to qualify again for Season 7.

"MPL SG is undoubtedly evolving, with 4 different teams vying for a coveted spot in M5. Season 6 is filled with upsets, surprises, and anxiety; which is actually pretty awesome since people will be a lot more emotionally attached to the league," said Eugene "Abstract" Eu, commentator for MPL SG.

"This season is the battle of the fittest and I think we can really expect some upsets for the playoffs. Homebois and Flash came into the equation and gave RSG SG and Bleed Esports a tough run; essentially smashing the existence of an El Classico. We should be looking at something completely different this year—fresh and new."

MPL SG S6's Playoffs takes place from 20 to 22 Oct with S$100,000 up for grabs. The winner will take home S$30,000 and more importantly, a slot the US$900,000 M5 World Championship.

Will Resurgence become the first four-time MPL SG champions, or will the very strong Team Flash score an upset and break the streak?

Whatever the case, MPL SG is finally looking competitive and interesting.
