1 dead in crash on E.C. Row Expressway Friday afternoon

Police have now confirmed one person died Friday in a crash on E.C. Row Expressway.

Windsor police say they responded just before 1 p.m. for a report of a three-car crash. "Several" people have since been taken to hospital, police said, but did not specify how many.

Police later confirmed one person, 52-year-old man, died in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.

The expressway was closed in both directions between Walker Road and Central Avenue for much of the afternoon. Police said around 6 p.m. that it had reopened.
