My Mum, Your Dad stars join This Morning team

My Mum, Your Dad stars Janey Smith and Roger Hawes have announced they will join the team at This Morning.

The pair got together during the debut season of the ITV reality show, and have continued their relationship since leaving The Retreat.

The couple appeared opposite Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary to discuss their time on the show, before revealing they had a new career move.

"I think you'll be doing some VTs, maybe some little travelogues for us aren't you?" revealed Dermot, with Janey replying: "I believe so, yes!"

Roger added: "We're just really excited!"

Dermot and Alison congratulated the pair on their new role, with the latter saying: "Welcome to the This Morning family!"

Janey and Roger also spoke about their stint in The Retreat, with the duo admitting that they weren't always sure if they would find the companion they were seeking.

"I definitely went in looking for love! When I first did see Roger - everyone knows he's fit - but I go for humour and kindness," said Janey, with Roger adding: "I didn't know what to expect, I was just winging it basically… but it's been the best surprise of my life!"

The couple recently celebrated six months together, and also reached another milestone as Roger introduced Janey to his family, with the group enjoying exploring the "local spots".

Whilst Janey and Roger will appear on This Morning, Davina McCall is busy at work with preparations for the second series of My Mum, Your Dad, with the presenter revealing that interviews have begun.

"I'm interviewing now," she said. "I love watching love blossom, and it blossomed very organically, slowly and sweetly. I've since been sent photos of [series one] couples. The show works, I really am Cupid."

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1 & ITVX.
