Murder arrest after baby found dead in central London

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of a baby was found in central London.

Officers were called to Taviton Street, in the Euston area, at 14:00 BST on Monday to reports of a "concern for welfare", the Met Police said.

The London Ambulance Service also attended but the baby was found deceased.

A man was detained at the scene and was taken into custody.

The Met said inquiries were continuing into the circumstances of the baby's death.

The child's age is not currently known.
