Murder arrest made over man's death in Lincoln

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a 69-year-old man in Lincoln.

John Connolly was found dead inside a house on Portland Street when police were called shortly after 11:30 BST on 18 June.

A 26-year-old man is in custody. He has also been arrested on suspicion of shop theft and aggravated burglary.

Lincolnshire Police said it was continuing to investigate Mr Connolly's death.

Underwater search teams were carrying out further inquiries in the Portland Street area on Monday, the force said.

Detectives have appealed for witnesses, and for anyone with information to report it online.
