Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup's Mexico wedding celebration was absolutely "perfect."

After tying the knot in a courthouse ceremony in New York City last June, the Feud star and the Morning Show actor, both 55, exchanged vows a second time on Saturday, June 8, in Mexico City. A source told PEOPLE that the couple decided to renew their vows on their first wedding anniversary with loved ones who didn't attend their intimate N.Y.C. nuptials.

"They had a beautiful ceremony last year, but really wanted to celebrate their one-year anniversary with more friends," the source said. "The vow renewal in Mexico was perfect. It was all beautiful and special."

"After being married for a year, Naomi and Billy still act like newlyweds. They are so cute together, and Naomi is very happy," the source added.

Watts' brother, photographer Ben Watts, confirmed the Mexico wedding news on Saturday by sharing a video that showed his actress sister in an elevator wearing a white gown and holding a bouquet of white blooms. Crudup stood behind her and excitedly waved his finger in the air as the elevator doors closed.

As seen in the video, Naomi's children Kai, 15, and Sasha, 16 — whom she shares with ex Liev Schreiber — joined their mom for the wedding festivities. Kai appeared to serve as a bridesmaid, alongside Naomi's niece Ruby, with both wearing matching tan-colored strapless gowns.

"Off they go Naomi x Billy x family #benwatts #scrapbooking," Ben captioned the video, which was set to the Frank Sinatra classic "Love and Marriage."

Ben later posted a clip on his Instagram Stories showing an elegant room filled with rows of chairs, and guests — including Justin Theroux and a woman who appeared to be Nicole Kidman — sitting while dressed in formal wear. "Let the ceremony begin," Ben wrote over the footage.

Ahead of the wedding, Ben posted a video filmed at what appeared to be a welcome party. In the clip, the King Kong actress could be seen standing and holding hands with Crudup as she gave a heartfelt speech to their guests.

"This is a reminder of what life's about. The affirmation of love being one of the simplest things, but the most important," Watts said.

Following the couple's courthouse nuptials last year, Watts later revealed on Live with Kelly and Mark in January that when it came to their ceremony, the couple kept things simple and fuss-free.

"Nothing was planned because we wanted to keep it low-key," she said, sharing that she bought the flowers for her white bouquet from a bodega.

She also spoke about how lucky she feels that Crudup came into her life.

"It's never too late, right?" she said of their relationship. "We found each other later than… yeah, late in life. And it’s really a special thing," she said, telling hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, "Billy loves you guys — thank you for your kindness about that."
