Naomi Watts Opens Up About Her NYC Wedding and Married Life with Husband Billy Crudup: 'It's Never Too Late'

During an appearance on 'Live with Kelly and Mark' on Friday, the actress revealed details about her big day and life with her new husband.

Naomi Watts is shedding light on her surprise wedding to Billy Crudup last June in New York City

During an appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark on Friday, the King Kong star, 54, revealed details about her big day and life with her new husband.

“Best wishes are in order,” Consuelos told the actress. “You and Billy Crudup just got married. You married one of my favorite people.”

Added Ripa, “Mark and I were so tickled over this. It thrilled us because we were like, ‘Oh my gosh, two really good guys found each other. Two great people that we love and respect and admire found each other..' ”

Watts responded, “Aww thank you. It’s never too late, right? We found each other later than
 yeah, late in life. And it’s really a special thing. Billy loves you guys, thank you for your kindness about that.”

The actress confirmed her marriage to The Morning Show actor, 54, in an Instagram post on June 10, 2023.

Watts shared a photo of herself and Crudup in front of a Manhattan courthouse smiling as Watts held a bouquet of white flowers.

The actress wore a gorgeous white wedding dress and stood opposite Crudup, who donned a sleek navy suit without a tie.

"Hitched! đŸ•ŠïžđŸȘąâ™„," Watts simply captioned the photo.

Watts told Ripa that when it came to their ceremony, “nothing was planned because we wanted to keep it low-key. I even got my flowers from the bodega at the corner."

She continued:  “I wrapped them in old ribbon. I keep my ribbons for a good reason. Pulled them out of the drawer, made it myself. And then yeah, we ended up finishing the whole ceremony — It’s very quick — and we just called a few friends, randomly, or just spontaneously, and whoever was in town just came and joined us. It was really celebratory and lovely.”

In Jan. the couple stepped out  in Los Angeles to attend the 2024 Golden Globes for the first time as a married couple, walking the red carpet together at the Beverly Hilton.

Crudup wore a classic black suit, while Watts rocked a one-shoulder silver column gown.

In a chat with Variety's Marc Malkin during the red carpet pre-show, the couple talked about their current projects and Crudup's Golden Globe nomination for his supporting role on The Morning Show.

Malkin also asked what their next project together would be, suggesting they consider doing a romantic comedy. Watts agreed, and Crudup joked, "I've always been great at those."
