Jalen Rose quotes his 'Filipino friends' while discussing an NBA game

Jalen Rose apparently has been hanging around with a lot of Pinoys.

The retired NBA player, who is now a studio analyst for ESPN, used a Filipino word during the halftime show of Game 3 of the first-round playoff series between the San Antonio Spurs and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Rose, who is known for his colorful commentary, discussed the possibility of the Spurs sweeping the Lakers by injecting a little Tagalog in his analysis. The Spurs were up 55-44 at that point.

“Or as my Filipino friends would say, ‘Walis, walis’. That’s ‘broom’! And your Celtics…” Rose said, turning to studio partner Bill Simmons, a diehard Celtics fan.

“Hey, come on. It's too soon,” was Simmons’ reply.

The Knicks routed the Celtics, 90-76, to take a commanding 3-0 lead
and put them on the verge of completing their own sweep.
