CBS Boasts Big Audience For Bills Victory Over Chiefs After Travis Kelce’s Negated Lateral Touchdown

Travis Kelce made a career-defining lateral touchdown during the final moments of Sunday’s Bills-Chiefs matchup, though it was quickly negated by a penalty on Kelce’s teammate Kadarius Toney — and about 26M people were tuned in to watch the madness play out live on CBS.

The audience for Sunday’s national game was up 21% versus last year’s comparable window, helping the network best its competitors for the most-watched game of the week.

Seemingly in second place was NBC with 24M tuning in for the Cowboys’ victory over the Eagles. When factoring in streaming on Peacock, the game averaged about 26.3M viewers, making it NBC’s sixth game this season to top 25M viewers.

According to NBC, the game peaked with about 30M viewers around 9:15 p.m. ET.

Fox managed about 17M viewers for its Seahawks-49ers showdown, while CBS’ early game drew 15M to watch the Browns beat the Jaguars.

Prime Video boasted 10.7M viewers for its Thursday Night Football Patriots-Steelers matchup, which is up 30% from last year’s comparable window. TNF has managed to post year-over-year gains every week this season.
