‘NCIS: Sydney’ Premiere Sets Streaming Records For Paramount+

CBS is finding success in taking its NCIS franchise Down Under.

NCIS: Sydney made its debut on November 14 and, since then, it has amassed nearly 10M total viewers across CBS and Paramount+. That’s nearly double the live + same-day audience that the episode managed.

Based on three days of viewing, NCIS: Sydney is also the most-streamed CBS network premiere ever on Paramount+, according to Paramount Global.

The series also seems to be popular among the locals, as it has become the most-watched local series since the launch of Paramount+ in Australia.

The creation of NCIS: Sydney marked the first time one of CBS Studios’ global drama franchises earned an international spinoff. It also gave CBS the opportunity to debut new episodes of an NCIS show before the end of the year.

Created and executive produced by Morgan O’Neill, NCIS: Sydney sees rising international tensions in the Indo-Pacific. The brilliant and eclectic team of U.S. NCIS Agents and the Australian Federal Police (AFP) are grafted into a multi-national task force, to keep naval crimes in check, in the most contested patch of ocean on the planet.

Brit Olivia Swann leads the NCIS part of the team as NCIS Special Agent Michelle Mackey, starring alongside Aussie Todd Lasance as her 2IC AFP counterpart, Sergeant Jim “JD” Dempsey. They are joined by Sean Sagar as NCIS Special Agent, DeShawn Jackson, Tuuli Narkle as AFP Liaison Officer, Constable Evie Cooper; Mavournee Hazel as AFP Forensic Scientist, Bluebird ‘Blue’ Gleeson and William McInnes as AFP Forensic Pathologist, Dr Roy Penrose.

A local international co-production for CBS Studios, NCIS: Sydney is produced by Endemol Shine Australia for CBS Studios and Paramount Australia, and distributed outside Australia by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
