Neighbours' Chelsea thwarted again as she's told to back off

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours' newest villain Chelsea Murphy faces yet another setback next week as Paul Robinson tries to get her to back off at Lassiters.

Chelsea is urged to step back as her rival Krista Sinclair grows in confidence following the success of the Longest Lie-In event.

A few weeks ago, Chelsea stepped into the position of acting general manager at the hotel as Paul has been distracted by his grief for his son David Tanaka.

Since then, Krista has proved her own skills by hosting the Longest Lie-In event as a tribute to David's memory.

Upcoming scenes see Paul give Krista the praise she deserves for her efforts. This is partly because he's impressed by her work, but he also knows that supporting Krista will help him to build bridges with his estranged son Leo.

Paul gives Krista the opportunity to give a presentation about the Lie-In to his sister Lucy, who's the owner of the hotel chain.

In follow-up scenes next week, Lucy asks Krista to give the Lie-In presentation to the entire Lassiters global group.

Feeling left out in the cold, Chelsea argues that she should give the presentation as she's acting manager. Paul disagrees and backs Krista, much to Chelsea's frustration.

As Paul points out that Krista seems to have everything covered, he suggests to Chelsea that it may be time to step back from her role at Lassiters. Will Chelsea really lose her grip on power so easily?

Last week, new Neighbours spoilers revealed that Chelsea will try to get pregnant with Paul's baby as her scheming continues.

Stefan Dennis, who plays Paul, has hinted that his character will grow closer to Chelsea in upcoming scenes.

He told Digital Spy: "It's lucky that he does have Chelsea because underneath the gold-digging and ambition, she is actually a good person and she's growing very, very fond of Paul – and I think vice versa with Paul's attitude towards Chelsea as well."

Neighbours releases new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays for free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US. In Australia, the show airs from Mondays to Thursdays at 4pm on Channel 10, with a 6.30pm repeat screening on 10 Peach.
